Breve Biografía
Jacqueline Vares nace en Caxias do Sul, Brasil, reside y trabaja en Montevideo, Uruguay desde 1976. Su producción transita en diversos lenguajes, como el dibujo, pintura, gravado, collage, fotografía, objetos e intalaciones.
Estudió con Clever Lara, Guillermo Fernández, Nelson Ramos, Nelson Di Maggio, Alfredo Torres, Dorothée Willert, entre otros. Realizó exposiciones individuales y participó en exposiciones colectivas en Montevideo (Uruguay), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Lima (Perú), Santiago de Chile (Chile), Asunción (Paraguay), Porto Alegre y Caxias do Sul (Brasil). |
Short Biography
Jacqueline Vares is a visual artist born in Caxias do Sul, Brasil, living and working in Montevideo since the 1970’s. Her work moves between several languages, as drawing, painting,collage, serigraphy, assemblage, objects and installations.and more recently digital photography.
She studied with uruguayan artists such as Clever Lara, Guillermo Fernández, Nelson Ramos; printing in the Club del Grabado de Montevideo; atended several courses and lectures with curators and theoricians Nelson Di Maggio, Alfredo Torres and Dorothée Willert among others. She has shown her work in Uruguay, as well as in Buenos Aires, Lima, Santiago de Chile, Assuncion, Porto Alegre and Caxias do Sul, since 1991. |
